Panera Spices Up the Steak
Panera Bread has added three new sandwiches featuring its Asiago Bagel, and one of those has a kick. Here is the description of the Spicy Steak Asiago Bagel Stack from the website:
Tender, marinated steak with melty provolone, creamy salsa verde spread, fresh arugala, red onions, and zesty red peppers on our Asiago Bagel.
This is, of course, a limited time item and it is currently selling for $7.99 in my area. The other two sandwiches in this series are the Chicken Roma Stack and the Zesty Tuscan Stack.
Takis Adds Two Spicy Flavors to Its Lineup
Takis is known for its rolled tortilla chips, several varieties of which bring some heat. And now they are expanding on their spicy lineup with two new flavors: Nacho Xplosion and Chile Limon. Following is the description from the press release:
Nacho Xplosion: Xploding With Cheesy Heat, this new flavor takes intensity to a whole new level and sets the bar high for spicy cheesy snack enthusiasts.
Chile Limon: Takis® First-Ever Global Flavor Launch breaks the “too spicy to enjoy” stereotype. This new addition delivers Mild Heat, Massive Flavor, and intensity in every crunch.
There is no word at this point on whether these are limited-time-only offerings, but you may want to try them sooner rather than later if they sound tempting.
Kolaches Join the Whataburger Breakfast Menu
I missed the announcement on this but will make the mention that Kolaches are now available at Whataburger for a limited time. These feature a smoked sausage link in a yeast roll, and they have a spicy version that also includes jalapeno and cheese. (Don’t know what a kolache is? Find out here). These are on the pricey side at $3.59 each considering you can get basically the same thing at any corner donut shop for two to three bucks. But if you happen to be passing by a Whataburger, they may be worth checking out. An order of six will set you back $20.49. The kolaches are part of the breakfast menu and are available from 11 PM to 11 AM.
