Pizza Hut Adds Hot Honey to Its Pies and Wings
Hot honey is a hot item in the food industry these days, and the chains have been turning to that to kick up their regular menu items. Marco’s offered the Hot Honey Pepperoni Magnifico last year, and now Pizza Hut appears to be following their lead with two new items. Just in time for the big game day, they have added the Hot Honey Double Pepperoni Pizza and Hot Honey Wings to the menu. The former comes with regular pepperoni and crisp-cupped pepperoni along with a drizzle of hot honey on the crust of your choice. The wings are boneless pieces that are breaded and fried and tossed with a hot honey sauce. Both of these are limited-time-only deals, and you should check them out soon as they could disappear soon after football season ends.
Moe’s Southwest Grill Adds Blazin’ Birria Taco
Moe’s Southwest Grill is the latest chain to jump on the birria taco craze as they have added Blazin’ Birria Tacos to the menu. These include “shredded beef birria, shredded cheese, pico de gallo, fresh jalapeños, and Kickin’ Cayenne Sauce served in a spicy and crispy red corn tortilla shell”. And while these are on the menu, you can get any taco with the red corn tortilla shell. These are around for a limited time only and you check and see if there is a Moe’s near you at this link.
Sriracha Shrimp Nibblers Are Back at White Castle
If you have a White Castle in your area (sadly, there are none in Texas), then they are offering some surf to go with the turf in their sliders. For Lent season, that fast food chain is bringing back its Shrimp Nibblers which includes the kicked-up Sriracha Shrimp Nibblers. Here is the description from the press release:
The Shrimp Nibblers are coated in a well-seasoned batter and fried to a golden crisp. The Sriracha Shrimp Nibblers, back this year after a triumphant launch in 2023, deliver a spicy and flavorful kick, perfectly mixed in the breading
These are available in small or medium orders and they will be around until March 31st.
Taco Cabana Adds Chilaquiles Bowls
Texas-based chain Taco Cabana is adding a new item to its breakfast menu with the Chilaquiles Bowls. Following is the description from the press release:
The all new Chilaquiles Bowls [feature] crispy tortilla strips topped with scrambled eggs and a choice of ranchero or green sauces. The Chilaquiles Bowls are topped off with sour cream and sprinkled with cotija cheese.
Chilaquiles are usually made with tortillas (or tortilla chips) cooked in sauce (and often served with eggs), so these sound more like Migas. But in any case, they should be worth checking out. They arrive on February 14th and will be around for a limited time only.
