Burger Adds Fiery Buffalo Wrap and Nuggets
The King is adding two more items to its Fiery lineup, both in the poultry family. The Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wrap will come onboard as the fourth Royal Crispy Wrap and that will have a Buffalo-glazed chicken breast tender with lettuce, tomato, and creamy Buffalo sauce wrapped in a tortilla. In addition, BK is adding Fiery Buffalo Nuggets to the menu which are kicked up with that same Buffalo glaze. Both are priced at $2.99 (which may vary depending on where you are located) and both are on loan from Limited-Time-Only-Ville. They debuted nationwide on March 7th. Frank’s RedHot® Debuts Dip’n and Squeeze Sauces
Frank’s RedHot® is adding more sauces to the shelves with two new product lines: Frank’s RedHot Dip’n Sauce and Frank’s RedHot Squeeze Sauce. According to the press release: “The new Frank’s Dip’n and Squeeze Sauces let fans add the perfect balance of flavor and heat in a new way by dipping or drizzling as much as they want on any food”. There will be three flavors in each line:
Dip’n Sauce:
Buffalo Ranch Dip’n Sauce: Blends spicy Frank’s RedHot Buffalo sauce flavor with the creamy, cooling taste of Ranch dressing
Roasted Garlic Dip’n Sauce: Blends the spicy cayenne heat of Frank’s RedHot with a punch of garlic
Golden Dip’n Sauce: Starts off sweet and tangy and finishes with the spicy heat of Frank’s RedHot cayenne pepper
Squeeze Sauce:
Sriracha Squeeze Sauce: Blends the heat of Sriracha with the Frank’s RedHot sauce flavor you love for a spicy and savory experience in every bite
Hot Honey Squeeze Sauce: Blends spicy Frank’s RedHot flavor with honey for a sweet heat that kicks everything up a notch, from pizza to dessert
Creamy Buffalo Squeeze Sauce: Delivers the mild heat of Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Sauce, but with a creamier overall texture perfect for drizzling
These are available in stores now and appear to be permanent additions for the company (as long as the sales hold up).
Lay’s Adds Sweet & Spicy Honey Flavored Chips
Spicy honey strikes again as Lay’s will be drizzling that kicked up condiment on its chips. Citing the “Swicy” food trend, the chip manufacturer is adding the hot honey to its classic style potato chips. They do not appear to be using the ever-popular Mike’s brand of honey, but reality stars Cameron Hamilton and Lauren Speed-Hamilton are attached to the product to give it some name recognition. These hit the stores in late February and there is no word at this point on whether the new flavor will only be around for a limited time. Competitor Utz has had a hot honey flavor of chips on the market for a while.
