Popeyes Goes Boneless with Its Wings
This chicken-slinger has already been winging it with its bone-in wings that are available in several flavors, but now they are going boneless as well. Following is the description from the press release:
The brand continues to expand its Wings offerings with NEW Boneless Wings in six signature mouth-watering flavors: Classic, Honey Lemon Pepper, Signature Hot, Honey BBQ, Sweet ‘N Spicy, and Roasted Garlic Parmesan. Each boneless wing is made from tender all-white meat chicken breast, hand-battered, breaded, and fried to crispy perfection
Interestingly, the Ghost Pepper flavor available with their bone-in wings is not offered with the new selections, but they still have several spicy options. And in order to get you to try these, Popeyes is offering a free six-piece order with any purchase of ten dollars or more through July 15th. In addition, the boneless wings are part of the permanent menu (at least as long as sales hold up).
Denny’s Adds New Spicy Brisket Melt
Denny’s is adding three new sandwiches this Summer, and one promises to bring a kick. Following is the description from the website:
Our slow-smoked brisket burnt ends, caramelized onions, and scrambled eggs are piled high on premium grilled artisan bread with melty white cheddar and American cheeses plus a spicy touch of chipotle aioli.
It comes with hash browns and sells for $14.69 in my area. This is on loan from Limited-Time-Only-Ville and will head back out around mid-August.
Churches Adds Spicy Wraps
Church’s Texas Chicken has added three wraps to its menu and two of them bring a kick. Here is the description from the website:
Spicy Tender Wrap: Church’s® hand-battered and breaded Spicy Tender with our creamy, tangy coleslaw and spicy mayo, wrapped in a warm tortilla.
Jalapeño Cheese Bombers Wrap: Church’s® hand-battered and breaded Original Tender, mayo and 2 of our signature Jalapeño Cheese Bombers®, wrapped in a warm tortilla.
These sell for $2.29 each in my area and they are also currently running a two for $4 special. These will be returning to Limited-Time-Only-Ville at some point in September.
TRUFF Has a New Hot Sauce
TRUFF brand, which is known for its truffle-infused products, is adding a new hot sauce to its lineup. Following is the description of the new TRUFF Buffalo Sauce from the press release:
TRUFF Buffalo Sauce is a bright and flavorful fusion of the sophisticated elegance of black truffle, the tang of vinegar, the kick of cayenne, and the lush silkiness of olive oil.
I have not seen a price for this yet, but its other sauces sell in the $15 range, and this appears to be a permanent addition to the TRUFF sauces.
Whataburger Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich Is Back
Whataburger’s ever popular Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich is making a return tour this Summer at all locations. Here is the description from the press release:
Three crispy Whatachick’n® Strips smothered in Whataburger’s original spicy Buffalo Sauce and topped with cool Buttermilk Ranch and two slices of Monterey Jack cheese, all on a five-inch bun.
I have to make a confession that I have never tried this even though there plenty of locations near me and it makes regular limited-time visits. No particular reason, I just never got around to it, but I plan on rectifying that soon. It sells for $7.79 in my area and will be heading back to Limited-Time-Only-Ville at the end of Summer.
