Spicy Food News: All-You-Can-Eat Wings Returns to Applebee’s, Charley’s Adds Kimchi to Its Cheesesteaks, and More

Fill Up on Wings at Applebee’s in August

Casual sit-down restaurant Applebee’s has brought back its popular all-you-can-eat appetizers which includes their famous wings. For $15.99 (price will vary by region), you can get all the wings and fries that you want (this special also includes their Double Crunch Shrimp and Riblets). The flavors available for the wings are Classic Buffalo, Extra Hot Buffalo, Garlic Parmesan, Honey BBQ, Honey Pepper, and Sweet Asian Chili. This is a limited time offer and will likely expire by the end of August or early September.

Charley’s Spices Up Its Cheesesteaks

Fast food chain Charley’s Cheesesteaks is spicing up its sandwiches this Summer with the Korean condiment Kimchi. Following is the description from their website:

The Kimchi Cheesesteak is made with USDA choice steak marinated in sweet and smoky Korean BBQ Sauce, topped with sautéed onions, peppers, and spicy kimchi. This cheesesteak comes with melted provolone cheese, all piled on our signature toasted roll.

In my area, this sells for $7.49 for a small, $9.99 for a medium, and $12.99 for a large. The new cheesesteak will only for available for a limited time, though.

Cleveland Kitchen Offers Kimchi Pickles

And speaking of kimchi, Cleveland Kitchen, a leading innovator in the fermented food industry, has a spicy new product that will be hitting the shelves at Walmart stores nationwide. Its Kimchi Pickle Chips will sell in 24 oz containers and following is the description from the press release:

This unique offering combines the vibrant, tangy flavors of traditional kimchi with the crispness of pickles, creating an irresistible, game-changing fusion that is sure to delight taste buds across the country. This is not indicated as a limited-time-only item and should be available (in the refrigerated section) as long as sales remain strong.

Fatburger Adds Frank’s Nashville Hot Seasoning to the Menu

Burger chain Fatburger is teaming up with Frank’s Red Hot and adding Nashville Hot Seasoning to several of its menu items. That can be added to their new, hand-breaded chicken strips as well as their Skinny Fries, Fat Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, and Onions Rings. This is a limited-time offering, so you will want to make a visit soon if you want to try to the new seasoning.
