Tabasco Adds Salsa to the Lineup
Tabasco is well-known worldwide for its hot sauces, and now the company is going Tex Mex by adding Salsa Picante to their lineup. Following is the description from their website:
TABASCO® Salsa Picante is a rich and thick Mexican-style hot sauce with a vibrant spice blend and a subtle kick of heat. Available in an easy-to-squeeze bottle, this irresistibly delicious sauce was made to make your favorite Tex-Mex dishes like tacos, burritos, and guacamole even more crave-able.
The sauce comes in a squeeze bottle and it has already been released to stores, though it may be a while before shelves get fully stocked. This appears to be a permanent addition to their lineup and should stick around as long as sales are strong.
California Pizza Kitchen Mixes Hot Honey with Nashville Hot
CPK is the latest chain to go “swicy” by adding Mike’s Hot Honey to its list of ingredients (Extra Hot, actually), and it is drizzling that over Nashville Hot Chicken for its newest pie. Here is the description from the website:
Nashville Hot Honey Pizza: Our signature hand-battered crispy chicken with spicy cayenne seasoning, fresh Mozzarella cheese, housemade Ranchito sauce, and dill pickles. Topped with Mike’s Extra Hot Honey.
This is a limited time only item and its current suggested price is $19.99.
Wings and More Wings
Football season is almost upon us, and plenty of the national chains are ramping up their wing offerings. Wendy’s will be selling its Saucy Nuggs in party packs which will feature 45 to 50 of the nuggets with your choice of one sauce. And Wingstop is adding Sweet BBQ Blaze to its sauces which “combines sweet and spice by dusting a dry rub seasoning on top of a wet sauce, creating a bold flavor inspired by two distinct BBQ regions – Kansas City and Nashville”. These should be available through the fall months.
