by Buffalo Wild Wings Expands Its Sauce Lineup
BWW is shaking things up again, adding two more sauces to its already extensive lineup, each combining a dipping sauce with a wing flavor. Here is the description from the website:
Buffalo Bleu: Buffalo sauce blended with bleu cheese, cayenne pepper and garlic.
BBQ Ranch: A creamy combination of ranch dressing and BBQ sauce.
They do not show the heat level of these on the website and I have not tried them yet, but from an early review I read, the Buffalo Bleu is around Medium heat and the BBQ Ranch is Mild. These will be heading back to Limited-Time-Only-Ville at some point, but should stick around for a few months at least.
Burger King’s Spiced Up Fish Swims Back to Stores
Lent season is upon us, and that means that fish is back on the menu and many fast food joints. Last year, the King kicked up his Big Fish sandwich (which is a regular on the menu) with a Fiery version, and that proved to be quite popular (you can see my review of that here). That is back for another round of Lent, and it includes White Alaskan Pollock with crispy panko breading and a spicy glaze, sweet tartar sauce, lettuce, and crunchy pickles on a brioche-style bun. It is definitely worth checking out, so I recommend a trip to the BK drive thru before it swims away by the end of April.
DiGiorno Adds Spicy Rancherino Pizza
DiGiorno pizzas have been in the freezer section of the grocery store since the early ’90s, and they had not had too many spicy offerings during that time. But now they are teaming up with Hidden Valley Ranch to offer a pie that brings a kick. Here is the description from the press release:
Turning up the heat – the DiGiorno® Spicy Rancheroni features a spicy buffalo-style Hidden Valley Ranch sauce topped with zesty pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, jalapeños, and a sprinkle of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning on a perfectly crisp thin crust.
They also have another pizza from this recent Hidden Valley partnership: Chicken Bacon Ranch STUFFED Crust Pizza. These are limited-time items, so you will want to make a trip to the store before they disappear.
New Spicy Snacks
As if it is not already hard enough to choose from the many spicy snack selections on the shelves (and I still want the Doritos Blaze back), several more are on the way to stores now. Among the offerings heading to the shelves or already available are Doritos Dinamita XXTRA Flamin’ Hot, Flamin’ Hot Honey Mustard Rold Gold Selects, and for a healthier snacking option there is Quaker Rice Crisps Jalapeno Cheddar. These are–say it with me–limited time items, so if any or all sound tempting, you will want to grab a bag soon.
