Spicy Food News: Taco Bell Adds Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas and Doritos Kicks Up the Heat

Taco Bell Takes Its Chalupas to the Street

After a successful test run, Taco Bell has a new and improved item in the stores with its Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas. Following is the description from the press release:

The next evolution of Taco Bell’s ode to street-style flavors and ingredients with an all-new toasted cheddar shell that packs more crunch, cheese, and sauce. Layered with flavor from the outside in, this fresh twist on the fan-favorite is filled with onions, cilantro, your choice of two premium proteins (Cantina chicken or grilled, marinated steak), and a brand-new Chile Lime Crema Sauce, all wrapped in Taco Bell’s toasted cheddar shell.

These are currently selling for $5.49 for two (prices may vary), and they are around for the dreaded limited time only.

Doritos Adds Two New Flavors

Doritos is releasing two new spicy varieties starting with Late Night Zesty Jalapeno Popper which brings the flavor of that favorite spicy appetizer to the chips. That is exclusive to Kroger and those are in stores now. Also on the way are Flamin’ Hot Korean BBQ. Those merge the brand’s signature Flamin’ Hot seasoning with the tang and spice of Korean BBQ and will be available exclusively in Walmart starting on March 31st. Both are limited editions, so you will want to grab a bag or two when you see them.
