Spicy Food News: Crispy Chicken Nuggets Return to Taco Bell, Dave’s Hot Chicken Adds Mini-Sliders, and More

The Crispy Chicken Nuggets Are Making a Return Trip to Taco Bell

Taco Bell’s Crispy Chicken Nuggets proved to be a hit when they were released in December 2024 and they sold out pretty quickly (you can read my previous review here). Fans of these poultry pieces have been demanding their return, and that will be granted on April 24th. They will be back for another limited-time run along with the same three dipping sauces: Hidden Valley™ Fire Ranch Sauce, the signature Bell sauce, and Jalapeño Honey Mustard (I recommend the latter). And the plan is to make these a permanent menu item starting in 2026, but we have heard the same about Nacho Fries and those still come and go.

Get a Sampling of Dave’s Hot Chicken With Mini-Sliders

Dave’s Hot Chicken just got smaller as they have added mini-sliders to the menu.  You can get an order of four for $7.49 in my area and they include a smaller piece of chicken served on a potato bun with kale slaw, pickles, and drizzled with Dave’s sauce.  The website shows that these only come in No Spice, Medium, or Hot, so it looks like you might not be able use them to get a complete sampling of the heat levels (though you can try negotiating with the person at the counter).  But you can at least get a couple at Medium and a couple at Hot to start working your way up to the next levels.  A combo with fries runs $10.49 in my area.
