Spicy Food News: Spicy Chicken Tenders Are Back at Jack in the Box (with Hot Honey), El Pollo Loco Adds to the Menu, and More

Jack in the Box Brings Back Spicy Chicken Tenders and Adds Hot Honey

Jack’s Spicy Chicken Tenders are back in the drive thru, and he has added an extra kick to them this time around. These are 100% all white-meat strips of chicken that are dipped into a spicy batter and deep fried and they definitely deliver a kick (you can read my previous review here). And if you want a little sweet with that spice, Jack is also offering them with hot honey this time around. It does not look like this is ever-present Mike’s brand, but it should still deliver an extra kick. These are available in three-piece and five-piece with Ranch on the side, and they will be returning to Limited-Time-Only-Ville at some point.

El Pollo Loco Adds Two New Quesadillas

El Pollo Loco adds two new quesadillas

This West Coast chain has come up with two new quesadillas to stuff its fire-roasted chicken into. Here is the rundown on the new items:

Creamy Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla: A generous portion of 100% Jack cheese and citrus-marinated fire-grilled white meat chicken are wrapped in a warm flour tortilla and finished with El Pollo Loco’s signature creamy chipotle sauce for a touch of heat. A side of handmade guacamole makes for the perfect dipping companion.

Salsa Verde Chicken Quesadilla: Featuring the same cheesy, white meat chicken-packed tortilla, the Salsa Verde Quesadilla adds El Pollo Loco’s signature avocado salsa for a vibrant, tangy kick – plus a side of guacamole that makes other snack options green with envy.

These appear to be around for the dreaded limited-time-only, so you will want to check them out before they disappear from the menu again.

Cheetos Releases a Wednesday Tie-In Flavor

Cheetos teams up with Wednesday for a fiery new flavor

Cheetos is helping to promote Netflix’s supernatural dramedy Wednesday with a new flavor: Flamin’ Hot Fiery Skulls. A picture of Thing is on the package as they claim that “the world’s most famous hand meets that snack that owns the hand”. These are, of course, limited edition, so they will disappear from the shelves at some point.
