Frank’s RedHot Adds Four Sauces for Game Day

Frank’s is giving you more options to “put that sh*t on everything”, just ahead of the one of the “biggest food moments of the year”, the Super Bowl. Hitting stores nationwide on February 2nd are four new sauces/dips “designed to help fans mix things up without losing the classics they love”. Here is the rundown from the press release:

Frank’s RedHot® Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce & Dip: A savory blend of garlic, parmesan, and mild heat that’s great on wings, pizza, pasta, or party platters.

Frank’s RedHot® Pineapple Hawaiian Wing Sauce & Dip: A sweet-meets-heat combo of aged cayenne peppers and juicy pineapple — perfect for wings, rice bowls, or fries.

Frank’s RedHot® Spicy Maple Wing Sauce & Dip: Fiery cayenne meets rich maple syrup for a sauce that’s amazing on wings, tenders, ribs, or even brunch dishes.

Frank’s RedHot® Ghost Pepper Ranch Squeeze Sauce: The creamy coolness of ranch meets ghost pepper heat — ideal for burgers, pizza, and sandwiches.

There is no indication that these are limited-time items, so they should remain on shelves as long as sales are good.

McDonald’s Adds Swicy to the Menu

The Golden Arches is jumping on the “swicy” (sweet and spicy) trend of hot honey by adding a new sauce to the menu. Here is the description from the website:

McDonald’s Hot Honey: this new sauce combines the sweetness of honey with the spicy, peppery heat of red bell and cayenne peppers with a hint of tangy vinegar that makes your perfect favorites even better.

This will be available as a dipping cup on the side, and they are adding it to four of their regular menu items:

Hot Honey Sausage Egg Biscuit: Now you can enjoy your favorite sweet and spicy condiment at breakfast time with this hot honey biscuit topped with a pork sausage patty and a folded egg.

Hot Honey McCrispy Sandwich: The classic McCrispy chicken filet topped with hot honey sauce as well as crispy jalapeños, lettuce, and mayo.

Bacon Hot Honey McCrispy Sandwich: Introducing the Hot Honey McCrispy Sandwich, but better, because it has bacon.

Hot Honey Snack Wrap: Who doesn’t love a McDonald’s snack wrap? This crispy chicken wrap gets a saucy hot honey upgrade and is packed with 17 grams of protein.

These will hit stores January 27th and will be available for the dreaded limited-time-only, so you will want to pay a visit soon if want some swicy with your McDonald’s.

And speaking of hot honey, that flavor has been popular at this national wing chain for a while and they are expanding their swicy options. Here is the rundown from the press release:

Built around the idea that finding the right flavor is a lot like finding the right match, the Hot Honey Trio invites fans and their crew to explore, compare and pick their favorite – or skip the choice entirely and love all three.

Hot Honey Rub – the classic dry rub delivering balanced heat and sweetness.

Saucy Sriracha Hot Honey – a fiery, saucy take on the OG, kicked up with sriracha heat.

Sweet Garlic Hot Honey – a savory-sweet choice layered with garlic, honey and a touch of familiar heat.

As as is usual, these will be available for the dreaded limited-time-only.
