Hot Honey Arrives at Freddy’s
The chain best known for its Steakburgers is kicking up its chicken as they are jumping on the “swicy” (sweet and spicy) trend by drizzling Mike’s Hot Honey on two of their poultry item along with one side. Here is the rundown from the press release:
Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich: Features a crispy chicken breast patty glazed with Mike’s Hot Honey® – Extra Hot, garlic aioli, lettuce and pickle all on a toasted bun.
Hot Honey Chicken Tenders: Crispy chicken tenders coated in Mike’s Hot Honey® – Extra Hot served with the guest’s choice of dipping sauce and is available as a 3-piece or 5-piece.

Of course, these are only around for the dreaded limited-time-only, but you have a couple of months to try them out as they will be on the menu until May 5th (or supplies run out).
Sonic Kicks Up Its Tender Wraps

America’s Drive-In has made an addition to its Tender Wrap lineup, and it promises to deliver a kick. Here is the description of the new Buffalo Crispy Tender Wrap from the website:
An all-white meat, crispy tender wrapped up in a soft, flour tortilla along with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, melty cheddar cheese, and buffalo sauce.
This is part of their $1.99 menu (prices will vary by region), and there is no indication that it will be heading back to Limited-Time-Only-Ville anytime soon. But that just means it will stick around as long as sales are good.
Trader Joe’s Has a Spicy New Snack

As is typical of Trader Joe’s, they adding new items to their lineup and bringing back returning favorites throughout the year, and a spicy snack will be back on the shelves to help bring in the spring months. Here is the description of their Spicy Cheese Crunchies from the website:
Blazing back to our shelves after an extended absence, Trader Joe’s Spicy Cheese Crunchies have officially returned—and we couldn’t be more fired up. In case you didn’t have the chance to try them the first time around, now’s a great time to get in on the fiery hot fun. They’re made with a base of crunchy, craggy corn, flavored with a savory mix of seasonings that includes Cheddar Cheese powder, garlic powder, and chili pepper, while their signature red-hot hue is achieved thanks to a blend of paprika, vegetable juice, and turmeric. What better way could there be to bring the heat to your next potluck, tailgate, or picnic?
These will likely disappear at some point as they appear to be on the TJ’s rotating list, so you may want to grab a bag or two while they are available. Another item that might interest spicy food lovers is their new Jambalaya. Here is the info on that from the website:
Our Jambalaya starts with a base of captivatingly aromatic, savory-seasoned, long-grained white rice, along with diced onion, tomato, green bell pepper, and green onion, and finishes with slices of spicy, smoky, uncured Andouille sausage. It takes only a few minutes on the stovetop or in the microwave to become steamy, satisfying, and ready to serve as an entrée or side dish. We recommend enjoying this Jambalaya alongside a leafy green salad or crisp Haricots Verts, or topped with a similarly NOLA-inspired protein, like barbecued shrimp or blackened Chicken Breast.
Like the Cheese Crunchies, this will will probably disappear at some point in the coming months.
