Taco Cabana Brings on the Brisket
This Texas-based Mexican food chain is smoking up brisket for the holiday season. Following is the description from the press release:
Back by popular demand, Mesquite-Smoked Brisket returns to Taco Cabana. Slow-smoked for over 14 hours with real mesquite, TC’s brisket is tender, juicy and flavorful with a true smoky aroma and taste. Brisket will be available on tacos, breakfast tacos, street tacos and loaded fries.
This is on loan from Limited-Time-Only-Ville, but it should be available for the next couple of months or so. It have tried the brisket tacos in the past, and you can read my review on those here.
Lay’s Nashville Hot Chicken Flavored Potato Chips Are Back
Lay’s has brought back the fan-favorite Nashville Hot Chicken Flavored Potato Chips for a limited-time run. These are the standard-style thin Lay’s chips kicked up to taste like the sandwich they are named after. I don’t recall having tried these in the past, though I did have a variant put out by HEB which was pretty good. I’ll be searching for these, and I see online that they are currently available at Kroger, Walmart, and Albertsons, and I’m sure other stores have them as well. Kroger has them on sale for $3.49 a bag at Texas stores.
Wendy’s Offers a Deal on Its Spicy Chicken Sandwich
And speaking of spicy chicken sandwiches, Wendy’s currently has theirs on sale through the end of the year. You have to use the app (yep, that’s yet another app on your phone), but you can get it for $3.99 right now (the price may vary by region). They do a pretty good spicy chicken, and that’s a great deal for the drive-thru these days, so I’d recommend buying it at that price while it’s available.
