Cholula Kicks Up the Heat
In honor of National Hot Sauce Day this past Wednesday, Cholula added an Extra Hot version of their sauce to their lineup. Here is what they have to say about it from the press release:
Our fans took to social media to tell us they wanted a hotter variety of Cholula, and we heard them loud and clear. Cholula Extra Hot answers the call for more daring heat seekers, delivering an even bolder original flavor that you can add to any dish from eggs to tacos, from burritos to rice and beans, beverages, and more. We’re excited to deliver authentic, Mexican flavor with extra hot heat so that people can continue to enjoy Cholula in new and exciting ways.
This is available to purchase online now at $5.99 for a 5 oz bottle and it will be coming to stores in Spring. This appears to be a permanent addition to the Cholula lineup which now brings them to eight total varieties: Original, Chipotle, Chili Garlic, Green Pepper, Chili Lime, Sweet Habanero, Reserva, and the new Extra Hot.
Wingstop Brings Some Sweet Heat
Wingstop has added a new sauce to its lineup just in time for the end of the NFL Season. Here is the description of their Sweet Chili Glaze from the website:
A sweet and spicy fusion of sweet chili and rich hoisin with a bold kick of red chili sauce with crispy sesame seeds.
The heat level is showing three out of five flames which is the same as their Original Hot and Louisiana Rub. The new sauce is available for the dreaded limited time only, so you will want to try it soon if it sounds tempting.
